WWII and the Pacific Theatre of War

Contrast the War in the Asian Pacific with the War that was being fought in Europe.

  1. The war in the pacific was caused by more personal country affairs. Japan wanted American area to overtake and become theirs for naval supremacy. When Pearl Harbor was destroyed, they retaliated by dropping the Atomic bomb on Hiroshima and then Nagasaki right after. This was different because the war in Europe was with a whole mess of countries all wanting to expand their economies, and when they all fought for that, nothing was achieved.

  2. The war in the pacific was more so a plane and ship battles. This allowed the people that were fighting to not see the faces of their enemy's only their machinery. The war in Europe was a target for surprise air attacks to weaken the enemy and move your ground forces in to finish the business. It was a more large scaled war as it was across Europe and the Pacific was mostly over seas! 🌊
