On the eastern front Germany was fighting just Russia basically but on the western front there were multiple countries joining together to fight Germany.
The eastern front was much more mobile than the western. 6 battles took place on the western front and the eastern only had 1. Lots more deaths in western front.
The 2 fronts were different due to Germany thinking Russia had a bigger power and sent more troops to the East, and less to France, But when Russia signed the treaty they rushed to the west to defeat France but failed
The eastern front was weaker than the western Front. They were not as organised as the western front, they had inner turmoil as well as a fight against the Germans. The western front was stronger because they were more organised.
The western front was the most well prepared for warfare because they were in the peak of their combat prowess and had very formidable armies fighting along side the trenches. Their soldiers were each supplied with the most advanced weapons that their countries could develope and constantly had new tactics and strategies created to try to surpass each other's armies and territory. This often caused stalemates as it would often take weeks or months to win a single battle. The eastern front however was less fortunate as the Russians were not up to date in their ways of warfare as the Germans were. Often 1 in 3 solders were not supplied with any weaponry and had to rely on their fallen comrades for them and a lot died of starvation because of the harsh winters and poor organization. As this all built up into a critical point, this caused them to lose the war against the Germans forcing them to give up 1/3 of their land and population in the Treaty of Breat-Litovik as a consequence.
The western front was a well prepared defensive battle as their was 6 and many deaths on that side. The eastern front was a unsettled battle as their was only 1 fight and less deaths
