WWII was a Total War...

The Second World War has been described as a "Total War".  That is accurate on many levels.  What are 2 reasons you can come up with that support this statement?

  1. the definition of a total war is using every weapon available and not just people involved in the army's , civilians as well. WWII was a total war because they did not just fight each others army's but they dropped atomic bombs on populated areas and killed many civilians. Another reason WWII was known as a total war was because pilots of planes would do suicide missions and delibertly crash their planes into things and civilians would run out to the crash site and if they found pilots alive they would brutely tourture them and then either hold them captive or kill them.

  2. There were thousands of deaths and a huge amount of destruction. They used whatever they could use to fight back and win the war. And bombed populated areas.

  4. The reason WWII was a total war was because civilians were involved in the fighting because of bombings, raids, etc.. Another reason WWII was a total war was because many of the countries across the globe were involved and secret missions that included everyday normal people. Every aspect of the military was used like planes submarines boats hand to hand combat ground forces and bombings

  5. WWII was a total war because pretty close everyone was at war. Everyone got a piece the action. The warfare was a little of everything. They used a lot of bombing and artillery. Planes would be sent out on suicide missions to do their duty. The planes would just go and bomb heavily populated areas and this made it a total war.

  6. WW2 was a total war because the fighting went beyond armies and guns. There was bombings, planes, and anything else they could get there hands on. Also the war didn't just involve the troops, it involved everyone. They invaded anywhere they could, and it didn't matter who got involved.
