Hitler and the Axis countries had a lot of momentum in the early stages of the Second World War however by 1944-1945, they were at the mercy of the Allies. What were one or two events you consider to be turning points for the Allied Forces?
Germany started to lose momentum when operation Overload was executed. The allied bombing of Dresden was necessary to break moral. Those were the 2 major turning points of ww2
The allies used operation torch by going up through the Mediterranean sea and up into Itally pushing the Nazis out of itally and overthrowing the Italian government. And another major turning point in the war was d-day when the allied forces invaded France with everything they had.
The United States of America comes back and bombs the Japanese after the attack of Pearl Harbour.
