The War to End All Wars...

One mandate of the Paris Peace Conference was to make the Great War the "war to end all wars".  As there was a Second World War, obviously it was not successful.  What role to you think the Peace Treaty had in continuing tensions rather than eliminating them?

  1. The allies split up all the other countries to help prevent another war. The allies made Germany pay for all the damages. The allies power kinda got carried away and they put a few countries in debt. This made the countries angry and they all wanted to start another war over this problem.

  4. They split up the countries and made them pay reparations for the damages which made the central powers have to print out money and then their economies crashed especially Germany which made them resent the allies and would be one of the reasons for wwII

  5. the countries split up and there economise plumeted to nothing. Germany had to take full responsability for the damagaged they caused snd they had to pay. by spliting up the countries they though it would have caused no more war but they wanted to start a war again...

  6. The treaty didn't represent a clean break from the fighting. Germany was paying for years and years after signing the agreement. To pay the country a ton of money after killing their soldiers and having their own soldiers killed would've been a hard thing to do. Hatred remained between the countries, nothing was really solved. Germany was still mad.
